Another cute smile.

At 2 months old (I know, I can’t believe he’s that old already either) Levi is starting to interact more with the people around him.  He loves to smile and get your attention, then coo and talk to you.  And of course, his smile is adorable (although I don’t think the pictures do it justice).  I can’t resist sharing some of the cute pictures I’ve taken lately, just because.

Look at me. I love to punch and kick and make you look at me.

A little sleeping angel.

A wonderful weekend – part 2.

Filed under: Levi, The Family — kimberly @ 23:53

With Jonny’s brother in town, we took the opportunity to bless Levi at home after church on Sunday.  Our bishop came over and Jonny, Papa and Uncle Andy held Levi in their arms and blessed him.  As a mother, it is such an incredible experience to feel the power of the priesthood in action in your home.  It was very moving and the Spirit touched us all again.  After the blessing, the bishop asked me to bear my testimony and I had a heard time getting it out through the tears.

Between the sealing and the blessing, we were on a spiritual high all weekend.  What a beautiful thing to be surrounded by family for such wonderful reasons.

The proud parents and baby Levi.

Here is part of the family.  We all miss having Andy and Jamie live locally.

The man of the hour.

Babymooning.

I can’t believe it’s been 2 weeks since Levi arrived.  Time has gone so quickly.  He is happy and healthy and growing like a weed, at least according to the doctor at his checkup today.  We are all adjusting well, which is great.  The boys love him and want to hold him and pat his head or back all the time.  Levi is certainly my most mellow baby so far.  He really is adorable and pretty easy going, which I love.  So far (I’m keeping my fingers crossed) he is a good eater and a good sleeper.  We are having a wonderful babymoon getting to know each other.

Our adorable addition.

Kicking back on mom’s leg – he won’t be small enough to keep this up for long.

Our new bundle of joy.

Our newest little blessing, Levi Archer, arrived on Friday 9/19 at 8:48 am.  He weighed in at 7 pounds and was 19 1/2 inches long.   Once he finally decided to come he didn’t waste any time, arriving in about 4 1/2 hours.  Thanks Hypnobabies for another wonderful birth.

For the complete birth story, you can go to http://jollypotato.com/pp/about-me-kimberly/levis-birth-story/ (which is also the link on the top right of the blog where all the birth stories are listed).  We are having such a great time getting to know him and welcome him into our family.  The boys love to play with him and want to hold him a lot.  We are all doing well, and we can’t wait to introduce him to everyone.

Little Levi has arrived!

Filed under: Kimberly, Levi — Jonny @ 19:19

Well if you haven’t heard yet through the grapevine, this morning Kimberly gave birth to our third son: Levi Archer. Mommy and baby are both doing well. Evan and Seth don’t quite know what to make of their little brother. They’re already fighting over him like a toy, poking and prodding, and trying to figure out how Levi works. Below are some photos from this morning. I’m sure Kimberly will fill you in on the details later.

That's right... I'm Levi!

Is today the day?

Filed under: Kimberly, Levi — kimberly @ 17:39

Well, today is my due date.  I’m not suprised that the baby isn’t here yet since both the boys were late.  But I have been having contractions since Monday night (and yes, by this time around I know the difference between ”real” ones and braxton-hicks) so I thought maybe this guy would come a little early.  I guess not.  This is reminding me a lot of Evan’s birth.  Lots of contractions, just not close enough together yet to get this little guy out.  We’ve been hoping and wishing and waiting…so everyone keep the good thoughts and vibes coming that this guy will make his debut soon.

Since we thought the baby was coming the boys went to grandma and papa’s house for awhile, but since nothing has actually happened yet we brought them home this afternoon.   Grandma asked Evan if he thought there was a baby in my tummy.  Evan responded, “I think mommy is teasing there is a baby in her tummy.”  When asked why my tummy was big, he responded that he though I ate too much and it made my tummy big.

So other than apparently eating a basketball, we are doing OK over here.  I’m keeping a little incognito right now, just trying to concentrate on getting this guy out.  If you don’t hear from me, don’t take it personally.  I’ll keep everyone updated and let you know as soon as we have some news to share.

The countdown is on.

Filed under: Kimberly, Levi — kimberly @ 10:10

At 39 1/2 weeks, the countdown is on.  Of course, both the boys were late so I’m not counting on this one showing up anytime soon, but you never know.  Given my passion about natural childbirth, I’m not getting anywhere near pitocin or an induction.  One of my hypnobabies affirmations says that “babies are born on their birthdays, not when doctors decide.”  I also add in for myself that they don’t come when mommies decide either.  Although everyone makes their own birthing decisions depending on what works for them and their family, I am perfectly content to be patient.

So wish me luck as we countdown what will hopefully be the last few days of my pregnancy with this little one (but could actually be a couple more weeks).  We’ll keep everyone posted when he decides to make his enterance.

30 weeks and counting…

Filed under: Kimberly, Levi — kimberly @ 14:36

OK, so I’ve been fighting a panic all week, so I figured why not share it with everyone else?

Yesterday I reached the 30 week mark.  That means only 10 weeks to go.  Well, OK…for me it will probably be a little more than that if history repeats itself.  But regardless, 10 weeks is not a long time.  That will go by in a flash.  And I still have a million things to do to get this house ready for another baby.  I’m not worried about the stuff.  The third time around there is not much to worry about – I’ve got a carseat, some onesies, blankets and diapers, and my nursing equipment (to put it nicely).  The rest is gravy.  But I have a ton of things to clean, organize, sort through, get rid of etc.  I need to have this house running like a well-oiled machine so I don’t lose my mind (ya, right!).  Whose bright idea was this anyway…having 3 kids under the age of 5??!!  Oh ya, it was mine.

Well, wish me luck in my final weeks of preparation for this still unnamed baby boy (oh ya, another thing to add to the list - figure out a name…).  Hopefully I won’t crack up in the meantime.

My Three Sons

It’s a good thing Kimberly is around to keep us from breaking out into pie fights!

Baby news.

Well, it’s official.  We had our ultrasound yesterday and we are having our 3rd baby boy.  The Pearson name is destined to live on.  I think we must have been picked to raise the next generation of good/kind/worthy missionaries/husbands/dads.  I will be severely outnumbered, but it was pointed out to me that I’ll be queen of the castle forever now.  I just hope the 3 of them get along as well as Evan and Seth do now (well, most of the time anyway).

As his brothers before him, this little one didn’t make it easy to get good pictures.  He was moving, kicking and doing flip flops the whole time.  The technician had to make several tries to get all the measurements and never could get a profile picture.  He may be a little shy now, but his camera-loving brothers will break him of that pretty quickly.  All seems to be well and healthy, so we are thankful for that.  Now comes the fun part – trying to decide and agree on a name.  It was hard with Evan and even more so with Seth, so it should be interesting this time.

Here are a couple pics of the little one, for those of you that can make them out.

Here he is, looking out towards us.

Here is a picture of his feet – he’s basically stepping on the screen.
